Minor fixes and store update

Blogspot clearly didn't like me posting again as it spontaneously broke all the Paypal buttons on the Starships page, this has now been fixed.

I've also re-added the Nemesis Azrael for sale - there are 5 units left from a second master mould. These are mixed metal/resin casts and far superior to the original all resin jobs.

Still Alive - Battlesuit Reviews and the state of ZandrisIV Miniatures

Even in these troubled times, the rumours of my demise remain greatly exaggerated. It has been nearly 2 years since my last post, and yes, ZandrisIV miniatures remains nominally active. I still process and ship out orders though real life has effectively curtailed my ability to engineer new products for release (more on this in a bit).

In happier news, some reviews of the Satria and Pendekar Battlesuits have appeared in the wild!

The first is by the esteemed Ash of Guerilla Miniature Games. He's using them for his Gamma Wolves game, a miniature agnostic mecha rule set.

All good things...

Regrettably, there comes a time when all good things must come to an end. As mentioned up-post, real life has done a number on my leisure time. One does not need to look at the rather forlorn state of this site to realize that. I am looking to hand the ZandrisIV miniature lines over to someone who will be able to do them justice.

In view of that, some things will change with the online store

1. All 6mm stuff is no longer available.
2. Starships will no longer come with the plastic bases.

Apart from the above orders will continue to be processed as normal. When the switchover occurs this site will be the first to be updated.

International Shipping Changes

With a new year, come new price rises from Royal Mail, which have unfortunately necessitated a slight change in shipping charges for those of you who live outside the UK. 

The shipping changes mean that the minimum price to ship anything outside the UK regardless of weight is £3.40. The Paypal shipping settings do not allow for me to adjust this, so I have implemented the following solution: 

On the main Shop pages there will be an item named "International Shipping Supplement". This costs £2.00. Please add this to your cart if ALL of the following statements apply to you: 

1. Your shipping address is outside the UK. 
2. Your order value is GBP20.00 or LESS 
3. Your order DOES NOT contain any 28mm Battlesuits (Satria, Pendekar)  - These have their extra postage factored into the price and hence the supplement will not apply.

If the amount paid is in excess of my shipping cost, then I will refund you the difference. Please contact me by e-mail if you are unclear as to whether the charge will apply to your order.

A Moment of Silence for the Original Bouncer

I've finally sold the last of the original Bouncer (Type-25E Battlesuits). It's been a hard decision to discontinue the production of my very first 28mm miniature, but the model hasn't aged well at all, my sculpting was at its infancy then, and it shows. The moulds have always been troublesome, and with wear they have only begun to kick out more and more miscasts. So, the Bouncer is dead. Long live the Bouncer (Satria)

The Satria Battlesuit and the Female Titans have finally arrived from the caster. The delay from the initial announcement was due to the time taken to cast the titans, but it was well worth it, as they have turned out absolutely perfect!

For reference to those who have asked - the Female Titan is approx 150mm tall, and would fit handily on a Games Workshop monstrous creature or large oval base (the ones used for Imperial Knights and the big Warmachines).

Everyone who has pre-ordered will have their orders shipped out over the next few days. You will receive a e-mail notification when it leaves.

In Memoriam

I am sad to announce the discontinuation of the original Bouncer Battlesuit. While I remain proud of the design, and its status as my very first battlesuit, it has not aged well in this era of 3D printed ultra-detailed monstrosities, and the molds are really starting to fall apart. The quality of the castings has been steadily deteriorating, and I do not feel it would be fair to continue selling them after my current stock has run out.

Satria Battlesuit

At long last, the third Battlesuit design is complete. Bigger, more detailed, more options, and just generally all round better.

Named the Bouncer Mk2 while in development, the final name of this beauty is the Satria (Malay: Knight). It stands 55mm tall, and will come with a selection of weapon options:

- Assault gun
- Smartgun
- Multicannon
- Missile pod

This is a multi-part metal kit with poseable arms and legs and will be available imminently.

To celebrate the new year, here's a sneak preview of Z4Miniatures upcoming battlesuit!

Currently it's dubbed the Bouncer Mk2, but the final name is still subject to change. Weapons are in the pipeline, and once they are done this big guy will be ready for mastering.

On holiday until May 6th

I remain active, but have gone on holiday for two weeks until May 6th. Any orders placed during this time will be shipped out then.

Also, work is progressing on the new battlesuits and mecha. I will hopefully have more photos upon my return.

I'm on holiday!

Just a quick notice to say the following:

1. I am not dead. I have been distracted by some fishy hobbies (literally) the past month, but I am still very much alive and wanting to build robots and spaceships.

2. I will be on holiday effective today until the 14th of December. As such, all orders placed during this time will not be processed until my return. However I have full stock of all spaceships and battlesuits and any orders placed during my absence will be shipped by the 15th.

15mm Dropship WiP Round 2

Worked a little more on the 6mm/15mm Dropship. Added mounting points for the vectored engines, engine vents and some of the cockpit detail.

And I rise, zombie-like from the ashes of the Diaspora Authority release to showcase some upcoming battlesuit and mecha designs. Two of these have already been previewed on TheMiniaturesPage (and elsewhere), but design no.3 is new.


From left to right, the Satria (Pendekar Mk2) Battlesuit, Thunder God Mecha and Constable Battlesuit. There's still plenty of work to be done. The Satria's arm doesn't have an elbow, the Constable's forearm hasn't been trimmed and the Thunder God doesn't even have a forearm. Posing with the 3 big boys are a 15mm Rebel Minis infantry figure and a 28mm Games Workshop Space Marine Scout.

In addition, I have begun to dabble in some vehicles, and I'm happy to present a multi-scale (6-15mm) dropship. Measuring approx 11.5cm from nose to tail, it will happily serve at squad, platoon or company level depending on your chosen scale. It is shown below with a 15mm Rebel Minis infantryman for scale.
